New EndWar footage released, is awesome
After the break. We were playing this in London today: it’s very cool. It’s the only game in the world that lets you deploy nuclear missiles by saying “WMD attack hostile one,” and is therefore wicked.
See for yourself. It’s out on November 7 for 360 and PS3.

New EndWar movie details meta-game
After the break. The video explains the Theater of War aspect of Ubi’s voice-controlled RTS, which is basically an ongoing, persistent world war sim where your battles count towards global domination chances for your “side.”
We could go on, but the movie does it better. So watch it. Game’s out in November.

EndWar pre-orders buy access to “VIP demo”
According to this IGN report, those that pre-order voice-controlled console RTS Tom Clancy’s EndWar are going to get an invite to a “VIP demo,” which is another name for an open beta, apparently. From the piece:
In what is essentially an open beta, buyers will be have access to multiplayer functionality and participate in a final stress test for the title’s online systems. There are a limited number of keys available for the pre-order beta program, so access tokens will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis, Ubisoft said.
The VIP demo/beta will begin in early October. A private EndWar beta was held in June and featured three maps in 1v1 and 2v2 online multiplayer matches.

Brand new Endwar, Godfather II trailers ready for viewing
Don’t worry; we checked. This delicious cinematic double-helping highlights two games: Tom Clancy’s Endwar and Godfather II.
Both are fresh off the video-editor, with Endwar’s trailer coming straight from Leipzig, and Godfather II’s killer sample recently debuting at EA’s press-only Studio Showcase.
Joystiq is playing host to both clips, so head over there and enjoy. Or don’t. Not that we’ll get lonely or anything.

E3 hands-on with EndWar, new video
Gamespot’s posted up its pre-E3 hands-on with voice-controlled RTS Tom Clancy’s EndWar, and there’s still plenty of reason to be cheerful from the sound of it.
It will only take a few minutes of ordering “unit one to attack hostile two” and “unit three to secure Yankee” before you’ll be fully engrossed in the battle. Having such seamless controls is important to keep the rock-paper-scissors gameplay flowing. Gunships destroy tanks and artillery, tanks destroy transports, and transports can take out gunships with AA flak. The core combat flows from this system and the voice commands make it that much easier to master.
Check out a new, very cool video after the link.

Thanks, X3F.

EndWar PS3 to have gestures
Sorry, this slipped under the radar yesterday. The PS3 version of Tom Clancy’s EndWar will support hand gesture commands via the PlayStation Eye camera, Eurogamer reports.
The feature will be used for moving the strategy game’s map around, from the sound of it. Ubisoft revealed the info at yesterday’s Ubidays event in Paris, also saying that the 360 version won’t be able to support gestures because the camera doesn’t come with a stand.

Ubidays 2008: Ubi promises pre-release EndWar demo
According to this CVG piece, Ubisoft’s confirmed that an EndWar demo will hit Xbox Live and PSN before the game launches later this year.
“The balance of these games is the win or lose of the games,” Ubisoft content director Julian Geright told the site. “We’ve balanced it fairly well, but we’re doing two different beta tests – one limited and one much much bigger.
“And then a demo where we’re going to be able to balance on the results. We’re doing a playtest with professional gamers to make sure there are as few exploits as possible before launch.”
The voice-commanded strategy game was in fine fettle at Ubidays 2008 last night, but no specific date has been given for its launch as yet.
