Toki Tori 2 will be released on Wii U on April 4, Two Tribes has announced. The firm said the title is still in “the hands of Nintendo’s certification team,” and while normally a release date would be provided once it passed certification, the team said it is “confident it’ll pass in time.” Check out the new trailer for the game below.

Nintendo has updated its US eShop and DSiWare offerings for the week with a demo for Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, the previously announced Toki Tori, Escape the Virus: Shoot ‘Em Up! and more. Coming in in the near future, folks will be able to get their hands on Gamelion’s Crazy Kangaroo, which has been rather popular on iOS and Android. Hit up the break for the full update.

Toki Tori will be released via 3DS Virtual Console this week in the US, according to a tweet from developer Two Tribes. The Game Boy Color title was originally released in 2001, and is being enjoyed on 3DS in Europe as we speak. available on the European 3DS Virtual Console. Toki Tori has been added to the Humble Bundle for Android. This brings the total to five games, including Anomaly: Warzone Earth, Osmos, and EDGE. Those who pay more than the average price, currently $6.14, the indie classic World of Goo is also yours as an extra incentive. Buying the Humble Bundle for Android also nets you with the Mac, Windows, and Linux versions of the titles, along with the soundtracks. As of post time, the bundle has moved 133,387 units and earned $818,549.78.

Nintendo’s new download service, WiiWare, has now launched in Australia and Europe.
Six titles appeared in the channel in the early hours of the morning, including the seemingly superb Lost Winds and the first Wii demo, namely Dr. Mario.
The full list of titles is as follows:
- Dr Mario Online (and demo) – 1000 Points
- Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King – 1500 Points
- LostWinds – 1000 Points
- Star Soldier R – 800 Points
- TV Show King – 1000 Points
- Toki Tori – 900 Points

Two Tribes has announced the GBC classic Toki Tori will be coming to WiiWare, the Wii download service that already launched in Japan and will hit the US on May 12.
“Toki Tori for Nintendo Wii marks the entry of Two Tribes into the world of console games. Based on the critically acclaimed Game Boy Color game, this update improves the original on every front,” the press release states.
“Sporting a new look, updated content and a completely overhauled Wii Remote control scheme, the game offers players of all ages a classic gaming experience while making the most out of Nintendo’s Wii console.”
