Ubisoft has fired THQ Montreal’s Jean-Francois Boivin, according to Désilets
Patrice Désilets has said over Twitter that he wasn’t the only developer fired by Ubisoft yesterday.

Ubisoft: “We’re very happy to look forward to working with” Désilets again
Ubisoft has elaborated a bit more on its THQ Montreal purchase, stating that the firm is “happy” over the possibility of “working with” Patrice Désilets again despite his departure back in 2010 to help build THQ’s Canadian studio.

Ubisoft issues South Park, THQ Montreal statement: new IP confirmed
Ubisoft won big at the THQ auction this week, snapping up South Park: The Stick of Truth and THQ Montreal. The publisher has now issued a full statement on the matter, that confirms THQ Montreal’s development of an unannounced new IP, which could be Patrice Désilets new title ’1666′, or a game known as ‘Underdog.

THQ sold to “stalking horse,” files for bankruptcy
THQ has confirmed it’s sold “substantially all of the assets” to a “stalking horse bidder,” affiliates of Clearlake Capital Group.

THQ to close Arizona QA office, move some staff to Montreal

THQ: Montreal studio is safe but there may be “empty seats”
In spite of THQ’s recent financial crisis, the company’s newly appointed president Jason Rubin is confident the fate of its Montreal studio, formed in 2009, isn’t going to be the same as its recently closed San Diego studio.

Désilets issues open letter on THQ move, promises “next few games” with publisher
Following this morning’s news that former Assassin’s Creed boss Patrice Désilets had moved to THQ to head up the publisher’s new studio, the developer has put out an open letter explaining why he won’t be working on his new games until next summer and why he left Ubisoft in the first place.
