A new Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time video has been released, and the star of this particular clip is Bentley the gadget master. In the game, he has built a time machine in order to travel back in time to not only solve the mystery regarding the missing Thievius Raccoonus, but to also save Sly’s ancestors. It won’t be smooth sailing though, because no adventure is, really. Game;s out on March 27 in Europe and will be Cross-Buy compatible on PS3 and Vita.

Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time launches today North America through retail, and also as a download from PSN. The PS3 version will run you $39.99 and included a digital PS Vita version at no additional cost. Alternatively, you can purchase the PS Vita version for $29.99. You can also pick up the companion game Bentley’s Hackpack today for either PS3 or PS Vita, for just $2.99. A video of it is below along with the core game’s launch trailer. The Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time animated short from Ghostbot is now available for you to watch. We’ve even put it below the break for you. Remember, if you purchase the title for PS3, you will be able to download it for free on Vita, through Cross Buy. Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time will make use of Sony’s new Cross-Play feature, which will allow players to continue playing the game on the go through Vita where they left off on PS3 – and vice versa. But according to Glen Egan, president and CEO of Sanzaru Games, there’s more to the tech than just cloud saves.

Sony has announced a Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time competition, which starts today, and the firm wants you to send in design suggestions on what Sly should steal during the game. It can even be a teapot if you so wish, according to the PS Blog post. No living animals or weapons are allowed, and the developers would prefer it if the object can be “carried on your shoulders.” So, get to drawing on any medium you are comfortable with – we still use paper – and upload your creation here along with a short description of the item. The best design from each country will be picked by Sanzaru and the winner will walk away with PS Vita and a 16BG Memory Card as well as access to the second round of the competition where eight finalists will see their designs appear in the game.
