The second episode of Telltale’s The Walking Dead arrives on iDevice next week. Telltale didn’t give a firm release date, but did say the second episode will turn up as an in-app purchase, for $5 or regional equivalent. Starved for Help picks up three months after the first episode, and is already available on other formats. Episode three is expected on consoles and PC later this month. The Walking Dead has garnered ferocious critical praise and sold strongly; creator Robert Kirkman thinks its delightful.

Just a reminder that you can now grab TellTale’s The Walking Dead on your iPhone 4 and iPad 2 today. Initial episode, A New Day, is $4.99 on both devices, and you can pre-order the next four episodes for just $14.99 (Australians can expect the usual dollar price jump). The adventure series has been tremendously well-received on PC and consoles, with some fans saying it outshines the popular HBO TV series and comes closer to the spirit of its comic source material.

Telltale has announced The Walking Dead will release on iOS Thursday, July 26. The first episode, A New Day, will run you $4.99 on the App Store for iPad 2, the third-gen, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, and iPod fourth -gen and above. Users can also purchase the Multi-Pack for $14.99 which includes episodes 2-5. Telltale said the second episode, Starved for Help, is still receiving some “special development touches,” for iOS and is “rapidly approaching release as well.” Hit up the link for more.

A teaser trailer for Activision’s The Walking Dead action-FPS has landed, hinting at a story of life before the infamous incidents on Hershel’s farm and the rooftop in Atlanta that transpire in the AMC TV show: “When the world goes to hell, how will you survive?”

The game is in development by Terminal Reality and will focus on brothers Daryl and Merle Dixon. It’s expected in 2013 for PS3, 360 and PC.
