The mode will unlock after you finish the game first time, where you’ll get a Boss Rush Mode, the enable option to skip cutscenes, changed dialogue, the need to carry the Heart Medal, enemies dealing double the damage and the lack of need to charge the True Master Sword.

Famitsu’s given its biggest score, 40/40, to the Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, making it the 16th game in the magazine’s history to achieve the honour and the first full score this year. This is the third time in ten years a Zelda game has has been scored at 40, with Skyward Sword following Wind Waker in 2002 and Twilight Princess in 2006. In the same issue, Batman: Arkham City scored 37/40 for both PS3 and 360, and the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection got 34 on PS3 and 33 on 360.

Nintendo’s released another ad for the upcoming The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, featuring, again, Robin and Zelda Williams. The ad shows Robin Williams teaching his daughter – whom he’s named after the popular Nintendo franchise – a few tricks for becoming a master. The game’s out for Wii on November 20. Edge has handed The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword a 10 in its latest issue, which goes on sale next Tuesday, October 25. The magazine said the game turned Nintendo’s hardware into “the console it was always meant to be.” To get an idea of whether you will feel the same as Edge or not, more gameplay videos have been released for the title, showing off the Eldin Volcano area of the game. Those are posted below, and if you head on over to Gematsu, you can find out more details on the new race living in the hot, melty mountain. Beware of possible spoilers, though. Game’s out next month on Wii.
