Rick Blalock, the creator of Skyrim iOS app Dragon Shout, has said he’s been sent a copyright infringement notice by Bethesda over the program.

“Skyrim Steam Workshop downloads are over 13.6 million. PC mods FTW,” the Bethesda Game Studios Twitter announced earlier today. The figure does not include mods released outside the Bethesda-sanctioned Steam Workshop environment, suggesting the real figure is probably even more impressive than that. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim released in November last year and attracted millions of PC players with an average play time of 75 hours each. At time of writing it’s the third most popular game on Steam.

Bethesda’s Pete Hines has said he is working on acquiring more information regarding a release date for the first round of Skyrimn DLC. He’s hoping to provide more information “maybe next week. We’ll see.” He said he is also trying to confirm a Kinect release date, so be on the look out for that as well. Via Twitter.

Bethesda’s teased an incoming announcement for tomorrow in a tweet tonight, attaching with it a screen which suggests we’re about to hear first details on the first expansion for Skyrim.

The Xbox 360 version of patch 1.4 for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is coming tomorrow, according to a tweet from Bethesda’s Pete Hines. Bethesda’s doesn’t have a timeframe for the PlayStation 3 version yet, and is apparently waiting on certification from Sony. Patch 1.4 fixes a massive number of bugs, including many which affect the player’s ability to complete quests.
