Skyrim patch 1.4 due on Xbox 360 tomorrow
The Xbox 360 version of patch 1.4 for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is coming tomorrow, according to a tweet from Bethesda’s Pete Hines. Bethesda’s doesn’t have a timeframe for the PlayStation 3 version yet, and is apparently waiting on certification from Sony. Patch 1.4 fixes a massive number of bugs, including many which affect the player’s ability to complete quests.

Valve’s Skyrim mod adds a bit of Portal 2
One of the first mods to roll off the assembly line enabled by the recently-released Skyrim Creation Kit is a neat little effort by Valve, celebrating the modding community’s intended close relationship with Steam Workshop. The Fall of the Space Core, Vol. 1 adds the Space-loving Portal 2 core as a companion, and apparently also Nolan North.

Back-up: Steam opens beta testing on Skyrim 1.4 patch
Brave Dragonborn can set out on the most daring adventure of their lifetimes, by beta testing the latest patch for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on Steam. As the Bethesda blog notes, it’s best to back up your saves before you give it a go, because in a game this size, something is almost certainly going to go horribly, horribly wrong. Assuming you’re not too attached to the last hundred hours you spent on the game, you can opt into the beta in the Account section of your Steam settings. Bethesda still planning to release Skyrim’s Creation Kit “this month”
Bethesda has taken to the Bethblog to reassure modders the Creation Kit for Skyrim is still on it’s way, and according to the firm it’s “looking to have it near the end of the month.”

My Little Pony Skyrim mod replaces dragons
This is, and will be, the best thing in all of existence ever. Someone’s managed to mod one of the characters from My Little Pony into Skyrim, replacing the dragons in the game. There’s videos of it in action below the break. Watch this too if you have a spare 20 minutes.

Bethesda reconfirms PS3 issues in Skyrim will be addressed with Update 1.4
Bethesda has taken to Twitter to assure PS3 users experiencing stuttering and lag in Skyrim that the issues will be addressed with the release of Update 1.4. The issues occur with the PS3 version as save files age. Users were hoping framerate issues would be fixed with Update 1.3 in December, but Bethesda said at the time the issues would be fixed in the next release. The latest patch is expected sometime this month.
