The Elder Scrolls Online will launch on PC and Mac worldwide on April 4, 2014 and will be released on PS4 and Xbox One in June. A new trailer is below. Titled “War in Cyrodiil” it highlights the MMORPG’s PvP system, which allows “hundreds of players to fight together and against one another,” in a quest to claim the Ruby Throne.

The Elder Scrolls Online has a new video detailing the systems players will use to build the character they want to play and explore Tamriel with. Have a look at character progression in action below. ESO is currently in beta and upon release will launch on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

The Elder Scrolls Online isn’t our first visit to Tamriel, but the new map Zenimax Online has put together for the upcoming MMO gives us a new way to explore. At present, the map only shows a handful of regions belonging to the three factions, so you can’t go poking about in the Imperial City, but you can explore stretches of Skyrim, Morrowind and Hammerfell, among others, finding bits of lore, artwork and screenshots. Check it out here. TESO is coming to Mac, PC, PS4 and Xbox One in 2014; a major wave of beta invites went out this week.

Elder Scrolls Online beta keys are hitting inboxes, according to ZemiMax Online. The firm confirmed in a blog post today that more have been sent out, so you may wish to check your email in case it slipped past your eyes. More invitations to the ESO beta test are going out soon, so if perchance, like us, you didn’t receive an invite, just be patient. The Elder Scrolls Online has a character customization video available in which art director Jared Carr demonstrates the system for you. It looks rather robust and is full of options.
