Those in the mood to watch Jackie Estacado tear people and former people into shreds are in luck today, as Gamespot has posted a bonanza of gameplay videos, where he he is doing just that. We’ve got each one below, featuring gun channeling, the power behind the swarm, just how consumptive the black hole is, and one which focuses on the Darklings. As if that weren’t enough, if you head over to IGN, the site has three shots posted for the game, which seem to focus on The Brotherhood. 2K Games has announced those who pre-order The Darkness II from now until the game launches will be upgraded from the standard edition of the game to the Limited Edition. It includes a Crazy Abdul darkling outfit, ability upgrades Gourmet Hearts which provides a bonus for eating hearts and Relic Hunter which locates collectible items throughout the game. It also includes an illustration by Marc Silvestri, and digital download versions of comics The Darkness Origins Vol. 1 and Vol. 2. The Darkness II hits PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 February 7 in the US and February 10 worldwide. Thanks, Gematsu.

“I think it’s a progression that everyone’s going to get to eventually. I’m not trying to say we’re ahead of the curve or anything like that, that’s just the choice we made for this game. I think story is the final frontier for games. We’re kind of getting there tech-wise. Mechanics-wise it’s cool that we’re innovating but it’s still in the basic same themes. The Darkness II launches this fall for PS3, 360 and PC from Digital Extremes.

Few UK dates for you, action-lovers. 2K said today that The Darkness 2 will hit Britain, PS3 and 360 on October 7. This one’s developed by Digital Extremes, not original studio Starbreeze. There’s a teaser video posted below with the date. It hits the US on October 4.

In addition, Namco’s gravity-”heavy” Inversion will release in the UK on February 10 next year, again, for PS3 and 360. Both games contain guns and shouting. What more do you want?
