Terraria will finally arrive on the European PS Store in May
Terraria will finally arrive on the European PS Store in May, 505 Games has announced. Already available in the US and on PC and XBLA in Europe, the game contains four-player split-screen, eight-player online and other goodies. You can download it from the PlayStation Store on May 15. Plus members will also get 10% off it’s regular price. A Vita version is also in the works and expected sometime this summer.

Terraria lands on XBLA and US PSN next week, hits European PSN “soon”
Terraria will be released in the US on PSN March 26 and globally on Xbox Live Arcade March 27, Game Informer has learned. It will be released on PS3 in Europe “very, very soon.” Upon release on the consoles it will contain four-player split-screen, eight-player online and all sorts of other goodies.

Terraria splitscreen mode shown in new screens
Here’s a couple of images showing off the console port of Terraria, which support up to four players in local split-screen, and via network, up to eight – two groups of four. The side-scrolling craft-em-up was expected sometime in February but seems to have slipped a bit; it will eventually turn up on both Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network.

Terraria console trailer shows off 8-player action, new final boss teased
Terraria is heading to PS3 and Xbox 360, courtesy of publisher 505 Games. The company sent VG247 its brand-new trailer for the console build, which shows off the game’s rather lovely visuals, 8-player online multiplayer mode, starting tutorial and world map feature.
You even get a glimpse of new armour, pets and ultimate weapons in action. Caution: it all gets rather insane and blocky below the cut.
