Ubisoft has announced that Tenchu: Shadow Assassins will be released in Europe on March 6 exclusively for Nintendo Wii.

The stealth ninja game was previously pegged for a Q1 09 release.

Tenchu 4 will continue the saga of Rikimaru and Ayame who must use their lethal skills to keep the peace in feudal Japan.

After the break. It all looks very good actually, although in this new Tenchu 4 trailer from Ubisoft doesn’t show any gameplay, unfortunately. Still, worth checking ou,t we reckon.

Game’s out Q1 2009.

1UP’s posted up a new hands-on with Tenchu 4 from Tokyo, which goes nicely with these new screens on IGN.

What’s new for Tokyo Game Show? Everything. Motion controls to perform moves like neck-snapping, drowning, and garotting are only part of the fun. Every little detail, like shaking the Wii Remote left and right (with accompanying sword clash sounds) to cycle between game modes and menu options are nicely manicured, and it’s obvious that Acquire are thrilled to be back in control of their baby.

According to this IGN story, Tenchu 4 is to receive both a European and American release.

The Wii game is scheduled to ship early next year.

Absolutely no idea what’s going on here, but this Tenchu 4 scan on Gamekyo either shows that you can turn yourself into cat in the game, or you have a particularly sneaky pet.

The game’s Wii only and is out in Japan in October.

According to the latest issue of Famitsu, Tenchu 4′s been announced for Wii.

No other platforms have been mentioned for the From Software game at all, which is apparently looking at an October 23 release date in Japan.

The new arrives after another action stalwart, Castlevania, was apparently confirmed for Wii last night. Looks like the end of the year might not be so anorexic for Wii owners after all.
