Team17 put out three videos of Worms 2 Armageddon in action this morning – see them here, here and here.

The footage shows a magnet repelling an airstrike, a worm panicking and the use of fire in the game.

Al Lowe, the original creator of Leisure Suit Larry, says that the latest addition to the franchise is a “disaster”.

Lowe wrote on his blog that he was not consulted during the development process for Leisure Suit Larry : Box Office Bust, and furthermore, is happy that he never received a review copy of the game.

“All I know about [Box Office Bust] is what I’ve read online. VU (and later Activision, Team17 and Codemasters) did not consult me nor discuss anything about this game with me. In fact, they’ve expressed no interest in me whatsoever,” he wrote.

“For a while, I hoped that they would remember to send me a review copy. Now that the reviews are in, it’s just as well that they didn’t!

“Thank you, VU Games, for keeping me completely away from this latest disaster!“

The game’s MetaCritic rating is 28 percent.

Team17 said today that its PSN version of Worms will release in the Europe “over Easter”.

It’s already on sale in the USA for $12.99. The title – an expanded version of the out-for-ages Live Worms game – will retail for £7.99 or €9.99 in the UK and Europe.

Team17 will be showing the enhanced Worms port for PS3/PSN at the Sony booth during GDC later this month — but that’s not all.

Attendees will get an exclusive look at Alien Breed Evolution, a modern day re-make of the 1991 original.

The new game was developed using Unreal3, and will be a digital download for XBLA.

No word on when it will be released, but GDC is just around the corner, and more information will be coming out then.

Australia’s awesome ratings board is at it again, this time revealing something called Worms Armageddon Decade for XBLA.

The rating looks as though it’s been applied for by Microsoft, which means this is almost certainly something different to the already-confirmed (by the USK, at least) PSN Worms version.

Team17′s confirmed to VG247 this afternoon that an Alien Breed remake will release next year, although you’re going to have to wait for further details.
