Team Meat: DRM is more damaging to companies than piracy, says Refenes
Super Meat Boy developer Tommy Refenes has published a thought-provoking blog post on the impact of DRM as an effective measure against piracy. He argued that the cost going into DRM does little to offset losses suffered by piracy, and that the controversial security measure makes people more likely to pirate a game.

Mew-Genics teaser week 14 – You’ve got mail!
The latest update from Team Meat for their upcoming Mew-Genics game goes into what you can expect from the mail system in the game.
Courtesy of GameInformer, mail in the game is vital, keeping players abreast of their friends and enemies movements as well as upcoming contests. It’s also somewhat random and unpredictable what may arrive, it could be a Cat Fight invitation, violation notices, money from your children or an SSI check reminder.

We still don’t know anything about Mew-Genics beyond two of its features: cats and randomness. Oh, and that it’s the strangest game the pair has produced.

Team Meat has released two new pieces of art for its next project, Mew-Genics, described as the “strangest” game the pair has ever worked on. The artworks show two of the five characters teased in the game’s announcement art, Mr Tinkles and Dr Beanies. Hit the break to see the images.
