Brink, Enslaved, The Curfew up for Writers Guild award

Organisers of the Writers Guild Awards have announced the nominations for the Best Videogame awards. Splash Damage’s Ed Stern for Brink, Ninja Theory’s Tameem Antoniades & film producer Alex Garland for Enslaved and ex-journo Kieron Gillen for The Curfew are all up for the award, which will be given out on November 16 at Notting Hill.

Interview – Ninja Theory’s Tameem Antoniades answers your questions on Enslaved

Here’s the memo: Enslaved: Odyssey to the West from Ninja Theory releases in the UK today, the second game from the Cambridge developer following the release of Heavenly Sword for PS3 in 2007.

After finishing working on DLC for the game, it’s full speed ahead to its Devil May Cry reboot, DMC, for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, announced at Tokyo Game Show.

We asked you for your questions last month to field to Ninja Theory on Enslaved, we picked the best of the lot and NT answered them.

Here, studio chief Tameem Antoniades talks about working with Hollywood writer Alex Garland on its story, the charm of its re-telling of the Chinese tale Journey to the West and more.

Capcom and Ninja Theory compare DMC revamp to Bond’s in Casino Royale

Capcom and Ninja Theory has compared Dante’s change in the Devil May Cry reboot to James Bond in the film Casino Royale, where you see 007 as he was before he became the suave, misogynistic agent with a license to kill.

Apparently, Dante in the new DMC is sort of like that. Rough around the edges, and definitely not suave.
