Windows boss departs Microsoft following the launch of Surface and Windows 8
Windows boss Steve Sinofsky has left Microsoft just days after the launch of Surface and Windows 8. Sinofsky’s departure is effective immediately, bringing a sudden end to his 23 years at the corporation.

17-BIT “shooting for a day one release,” for Skulls of Shogun with Windows 8
17-BIT has said it’s “shooting for a day one release,” with Windows 8 for Skulls of Shogun. Microsoft announced yesterday Windows 8 would release on October 26.

Halo 4 will “work with” Microsoft’s Surface
According to VentureBeat, Xbox executive Don Mattrick mentioned during a GamesBeat panel that Halo 4 “will work with” Microsoft’s recently-revealed tablet, Surface. No details were given but the platform holder has said that all first-party games will include SmartGlass functionality so you can probably expect something of that ilk. Halo 4 is due exclusively on Xbox 360 in November.
