Capcom announces SSFIV AE Ver 2012 update
Capcom has announced Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition will get a Version 2012 update. No more details were given other than more will be coming soon, and that it will be playable in major Japanese cities by the end of the summer. To be clear, it isn’t a new edition of SFIV, just an update. We’re pretty sure we heard producer Yoshinori Ono say at EVO overnight there’d be an update due sometime between autumn and winter that will help balance the game. This is probably it.
Thanks, Andriasang.

Quick quotes: Yoshi Ono compares Street Fighter to Premier League football
“A quick metaphor: think of the Premier League. When Manchester United play Chelsea, you have the most professional, skilful players taking part, so any kid just out of school can’t join that team. However, just because not everyone can play for Manchester United doesn’t mean no one plays football. Until recently, we only ever aimed Street Fighter at the high end. We’ve been neglecting people who want to play at their own level.” – Super Street Fighter IV producer, and the world’s most happiest man, Yoshinori Ono, asked by The Guardian if its risked alienating the hardcore by moving to the mainstream.
