Housemarque has announced a spiritual successor to Super Stardust is in development for PS4. The firm said the console enables it to “do things that wouldn’t be possible otherwise.” According to a post on the studio’s official website, the architecture of PS4 will allow the developers “to create incredible visuals with direct impact on the way the new game feels.” The firm is also working on another unannounced project for PS4. More information on both titles will be available in the coming months. Thanks, Eurogamer.

PlayStation show Pulse is reporting that PAIN is the most downloaded title on its PlayStation Network this year.
The game released on US PSN back in 2007 and in Europe March of this year. High Velocity Bowling rolled in second and the seminal Super Stardust HD third.
In fact, considering most of the titles in the top 10 (below) came out in the US last year, we’re left wondering if its a worldwide chart.
- High Velocity Bowling
- Super Stardust HD
- PixelJunk Monsters
- Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection
- High Stakes Poker Edition
- Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty

Says so here. “Some of the more notable” stuff being released this week is “The Best of The Who Rock Band Edition, Super Stardust HD Team Mode Add-on and Elefunk an upcoming PlayStation Network downloadable puzzle game,” says the PSBlog.
No news if Europe will see any of this, naturally.
