Super Monkey Ball Banana Splitz releasing on Vita in October
SEGA has announced Super Monkey Ball Banana Splitz will be available for Vita starting October 23. The game contains over 100 stages of puzzle mayhem and eight mini-games such as fab favorites Monkey Target and Monkey Bingo. The game takes advantage of Vita tech with tilt control functionality and the camera can be used to capture real-world objects to create custom stages within the game. It also contains online multiplayer. New shots are below.

Super Monkey Ball Vita includes “adult map” of swimsuit model
Super Monkey Ball Banana Splitz will include an “adult map” when it releases which is the body of a Japanese swimsuit model. Alrighty then. However, in order to play the “map” you will need to be the lucky owner of one the retail copies a code is stashed in. A limited number will be available and only in Japan at this point, and probably always. A video is posted below via Andriasang.

Super Monkey Ball hitting Japan June 14, contains stage edit mode
SEGA has announced Super Monkey Ball will be released on June 14 in Japan, where it’s titled Super Monkey Ball Tokumori Asobita. The retail version will run folks ¥5,040 while the digital version will cost ¥4,500. The title is the basic gameplay you’re used only with motion and rear touch controls, as well as wireless two-player co-op. SEGA to release Super Monkey Ball and five other 3DS games in FY11

SEGA has officially unveiled Super Monkey Ball for Nintendo 3DS, and has it primed for release in 2011.
The firm also stated it has five more planned for release on 3DS by March 31, 2012 – one of which is a Sonic game mentioned at E3 along with Super Monkey Ball.

iPhone Monkey Ball sells 300,000 in 20 days
The iPhone version of Super Monkey Ball’s sold 300,000 copies in just 20 days reports, The Wall Street Journal.
“That’s a substantial business,” says Simon Jeffery, president of Sega’s US division. “It gives iPhone a justifiable claim to being a viable gaming platform.”
Substantial indeed. According to Steve Jobs, if App Store sales continue at their current rate, Apple will rake in a whopping $360 million a year in new revenue.
