Super Mario Galaxy 2 won’t be coming to 3DS thanks to “speck” graphics
Super Mario 3D Land director Koichi Hayashida has said Nintendo tested the possibility of bringing Super Mario Galaxy 2 to 3DS, but Mario’s size and the game’s general mechanics proved prohibitive.

Nintendo releases last SMG2 video before US launch
Super Mario Galaxy 2 hits the US tomorrow, and Nintendo has put out one last video for the launch, just in case you were still sitting on the fence.

In the latest installment of Iwata Asks, Nintendo’s president chats with Shigeru Miyamoto regarding Super Mario Galaxy 2.
Turns out, the game originally started life as Mario Galaxy 1.5 – at least in codename form.

SMG2 video shows Starship Mario; game ships with tutorial DVD
Nintendo has released another video for Super Mario Galaxy 2, this time featuring Starship Mario.

Loads of Super Mario Galaxy 2 goodies hit official Nintendo site
Super Mario Galaxy 2 goodies landed on the Nintendo website this week, along with a nice video that is posted below the break courtesy of GoNintendo.
Apparently, giant cogs are making a comeback, and a second player can play along with you by controlling a Luma.
