Warner has released a new video for Lollipop Chainsaw showing how the school bus promoting the game at various events is full of “pure awesome,” as well as “excessive blood, gruesome body parts, gaming kiosks and some kick ass artwork inside.” Watch below how an seemingly ordinary school bus was transformed into a vicious vehicle of sex, blood and rock n’ roll, baby. The Lollipop Chainsaw bus was recently parked at GDC and SXSW and it’s next stop will be at PAX East April 6-8. Lollipop Chainsaw will be out the week of June 12 for Xbox 360 and PS3. Thanks, Machinima.

“Of course we always wish to have a big hit, but at the same time – not just in Japan, but worldwide – I think it’s really difficult to be successful with a new IP. You really need an extraordinary amount of support to have a new franchise be successful. Unfortunately we couldn’t really do as well as we hoped for.” – Grasshopper’s Goichi Suda, speaking to Eurogamer at TGS on the difficulties of making a new IP. Grasshopper released Shadows of the Damned, via EA Partners, this past summer to critical success, but very low sales.

Suda51 has confirmed that while he came up with the idea for Diabolical Pitch, he’s handed development over to a separate team within Grasshopper Media. Therefore, it was that team who has come up with this intriguing little teaser trailer for the demon-smashing baseball interpretation called Diabolical Pitch.

One of the more obscure highlights of Tokyo Game Show so far has been the big reveal Diabolical Pitch, formerly known as Codename D. Take Japanese favourite Suda51 and the team at Grasshopper Manufacture, throw in some motion controls, a baseball bat and some scary monsters, and you’re onto a winner.
While we haven’t yet had a chance to try out the upcoming XBLA title, the sneaky folk over at Joystiq smuggled a video camera in and grabbed some more footage of the game in action, plus a shaky-cam version of the first trailer.

Like Killer 7 and No More Heroes before it, No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle’s got “Suda51″ written all over it. Translation: It’s weird. Grown-up weird. Phallic imagery everywhere weird. And you know what that means. Yep! A very entertaining ESRB write-up. Here’s a snippet:
“Two women (clad in bikinis) get suspended in mid-air, get caught between the flashing lights, lasers, and frenetic sword swipes of an assassins’ duel—the women’s heads slide across the floor once the men stop fighting.”
The listing also reveals the return of Bizarre Jelly, a fake anime that was featured in the first game. Even the show’s opening’s quick “one-to-two seconds” of bare buttock were unable to escape the ESRB’s watchful eye.
We’ve posted the full listing after the break in order to avoid unnecessary spoilage. So have at it. Take a glimpse inside Suda51′s loony bin-ripe mind for solid proof that he’s still got “it.” By which we mean his game design chops. As for the other “it” – you know, his sanity – we’re pretty sure he lost it a long, long time ago.

Grasshopper boss Goichi Suda has a new favourite games designer. It’s Criterion games boss Alex Ward.
“I have four favorite game designers,” Suda told 1UP. “Erik [Chahi, Out of This World creator] is one of them. I’m not sure if he’s the number one, but he’s one of them.
“There used to be three, but the fourth person is [Criterion Games'] Alex Ward, who I added after I met him recently.”
Suda’s went on to say that he would most likely end up “enjoying” working with Chahi or Ward, should the opportunity arise.

Suda51′s told Edge that No More Heroes needs to move past Wii if it’s to flourish.
“I really want to make NMH a big franchise,” he said, “and with this second episode have bigger success. I’m putting a lot of care into developing this IP, as I feel there’s a lot of potential.
“I think this is the last NMH that is going to be developed on Wii,” he added. “To expand NMH to new possibilities, we need a new platform. Wii is a great platform, but we’ve done everything we can with it now.”
Now look at this. Good news for 360 and PS3 owners, no doubt.
