Styx and REO Speedwagon for Wii Rock Band

reospeedwagona2

Wii Rockband’s getting Styx, REO Speedwagon, System of a Down, The Clash and tons of other stuff this week.

Which is all very exciting, but not enough to make us format a list of tracks. Find it, instead, in the press release after the break.

Wondercon 09 goes to Hell with Dante’s Inferno

dantesinferno123

EA gave attendees at Wondercon 2009 a look at Dante’s Inferno last week, and put in a bit of a backstory on the muscly fella.

While not exactly like the epic poem, Dante does go to Hell looking for Beatrice — but that’s where most of the similarities end.

The game starts with Dante killing Death, finding his wife murdered and being taken to Hell by Lucifer, breaks down the gates, and starts his journey through the nine circles taking down any denzien that crosses his path.

The game is currently being developed by folks who had hands in God of War II, Half-Life 2, Metroid Prime, and Dead Space.

Loads more information is over on Destructoid, where there’s talk about Dante’s boat ride across the river Styx.

Game’s sounding better and better all the time.
