WiiWare sales of Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People have doubled since the release of the new Wii storage solution, Telltale said today.
“Nintendo’s new solution really opens the door for players to add to their collection of downloadable games, which is critical for a series with multiple installments,” said CEO Dan Connors.
“This is a major step forward for episodic gaming. We’re looking forward to even greater success on WiiWare with Strong Bad, as well as other projects.”
Nintendo’s new option to play games directly from the SD card gives gamers the option to store the first five episodes of the game, which Telltale obviously recommends.

Telltale just issued a press release outlining the plot for the first installment of PC and WiiWare title, Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People.
“SBCG4AP gives players the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to become Strong Bad—a loudmouthed, boxing-glove-wearing megalomaniac and the self-proclaimed coolest person ever—in his ongoing quest to achieve total awesomeness,” says the release.
“Homestar Ruiner” kicks off a typical day in the House of Strong, with our hero answering emails, dominating in video games, and setting out to pummel his enemies. Then Strong Bad’s scheme to win the tri-annual Race to the End of the Race lands him with an unwanted guest: his dimwitted adversary, Homestar Runner. Now Strong Bad must find a way to get the disgraced athlete back on the Free Country, USA A-list (and out of his house).”

Telltale has announced a new WiiWare title called Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People.
According to the press release, ‘Strong Bad’ is “the very first episodic series for connected consoles. Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People has been designed specifically for WiiWare, with easy-to-use controls and WiiConnect24 features.”
The announcement continued: “Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People is a story-driven series with a comic spin that’s undeniably Strong Bad. The player uncovers each episode’s comedic plot through character interaction, dialogue-based puzzles, and the use (and abuse) of inventory items. In addition, each episode will be crammed with time-wasters to keep players poking around in the world, including Strong Bad emails to check, prank phone calls to place, and mini-games styled after the arcade games on the Homestarrunner.com website.”
No details as to when we will see it but you can follow its development progress on www.telltalegames.com. The game will also be released for PC.
