As previously detailed, Forbidden Worlds goes for $5 and adds new planet types, planet specialization, technologies, planetary bonuses and even more Steam achievements. Oxford developer Rebellion, best known for Sniper Elite and Alien vs Predator, has filed suit against Stardock and Ironclad, claiming trademark infringement. Gamasutra reports the crux of the matter is the new Sins of a Solar Empire expansion, which also rejoices in the name of Rebellion. Don’t go firing off angry letters just yet; as we learned in the Bethesda vs Mojang case, trademark holders are forced to engage in these kinds of battles or risk losing trademarks, and it may all be settled amicably. SoaSE: Rebellion released in June and has garnered positive reviews.

Stardock is suing a former employee for allegedly making a seriously dramatic exit from the company’s employ. Kotaku reports an ex-marketing manager has been accused of nicking off with a laptop, loads of confidential information, and some mysterious “material” for Elemental: War of Magic. Miseta left the developer three weeks before the game’s release; possibly coincidentally, it launched in such poor shape that Stardock is still apologising. Stardock has released an update for its space opera strategy epic, Sins of a Solar Empire, which polishes up the ageing graphics.
