North American eSports team Quantic Gaming disbanded after investors pull funding
Quantic Gaming, the North American esSports team, has disbanded after investors pulled funding, according to team member Rod Breslau. It was said neither “players nor staff knew about it beforehand.” The eSpots team had at least a dozen players or more assigned to its StarCraft 2, Call of Duty, and League of Legends teams. Breslau said some the affected players were already talking with other North America teams. Quantic Gaming formed in 2010 and won five Major League Gaming events. Via Gamespot.

Prices for StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty and Diablo 3 have been slashed on the Blizzard Store. You can pick up StarCraft 2 for $19.99 instead of the usual $59.99 and Diablo 3 has been marked down from $59.99 to $39.99. No word on how long the savings will last, so you better hurry.

StarCraft 2 – SlayerS Clan disbanding, says coach
SlayerS coach Kim “Jessica” Ga Yeon has confirmed to the IGN Pro League that professional StarCraft 2 team will be disbanded. Reasons for the disbanding are unclear, but the coach cited “hardships of running a team alone,” since Lim Yo “BoxeR” Hwan is no longer co-running the team and also due to the “emotional toll that the last few months have taken on her.” SlayerS has won two GSTL Championships among others. Diablo 3 patch 1.0.5 will contain an option to allow players to appear offline. This will keep Chatty Cathy types from bothering you while in the middle of being swarmed, or if you just want to be incognito, it’s for that as well.
