StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty 50% off till Heart of the Swarm launches
If you’re a little behind on your real-time startegy gaming, there’s still time to pick up the most important release of the last few years before its immediate successor launches. Blizzard is offering StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty at 50% off up until expansion Heart of the Swarm launches on March 12. That’s probably not long enough to master one of the premiere eSports of the current generation, but it will set you up to get on board the hype train next week. Wings of Liberty was focused on the Terran or human faction, which Heart of the Swarm is more centred on the Zerg. A third instalment is expected a couple of years down the track.
Thanks, PCGamesN.

Activision will delay StarCraft 2 into 2010, says analyst

Sterne Agee analyst Arvind Bhatia has predicted that Activision will delay the release of Starcraft 2 into 2010 instead of shipping it in October 2009.
Bhatia expects the game to sell around three million copies with a 2010 release being a positive thing for the company, despite the missing the holiday shopping season.
Activision had no comment regarding a Stracraft date, however, it was announced yesterday that Singularity would be pushed into 2010 to make way for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
