Making good on its promise last week, BioWare has released extra details on the Imperial Agent class for Star Wars: The Old Republic.
It looks like the character is about as close to a rogue as we’re gonna get in the game, which is rather cool to be honest.
The pics are the same as the one’s released last week as well, but the character has been given the holonet treatment like previously announced playables, so that is a good thing.
Go see for yourself on the official site.

Looks like after breaking the site with so many people signing up for the Star Wars: The Old Republic Beta, the official site is back up and ready for you to beg and plead to be let in on all the fun.
Describing the interest in the testing as “overwhelming” after “a humbling 24 hours,” BioWare has addressed the difficulties many had when registering, beefed up the backend, and reopened the site.
Therefore, get to it before we all break it again.

Over on the official Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO site, the fleeting appearance of a closed Beta test link popped up, but since the site is down for maintenance, it is inaccessible.
However, IncGamers grabbed a screenshot of the link before the site went down.
As the site points out, Friday is the usual day for updates on the title, so more news regarding a closed Beta may go up then, or hopefully sometime today when maintenance is complete.

LucasArts president Darrell Rodriguez has told GI.biz that subscriptions and microtransaction business models may be deployed when Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO launches.
No specific business model has been unveiled, but when speaking to the site at GamesCom, Rodriguez said that the company wants the business model to appeal to all regions.
“We talk about the business curves of subscriptions, interest and investment it takes to make these games, but at the end of the day it’s about making a compelling offering for our consumers,” he said. “We’re considering it all, absolutely.
“You start looking at how different communities, territories such as Asia, actually play games, and we start to consider it all – especially if we want it to be a worldwide phenomenon.”
Lightsaber: 10 Novian Rubies. Wookie pelt jacket: 8,000 Druggats. First-degree HK-50 assassin droid: 1500 Drallish crowns – it could be anything really.

The Sith Warrior class has been unveiled over on the Star Wars: The Old Republic website.
Apparently, this “unstoppable force of darkness” has been tasked with destroying anything and everyone who gets in the Empire’s way and “enforcing Sith domination across the galaxy”.
Exciting isn’t it? Going around thrashing Jedis around and forcing your will on the little peons who get in your way. Just imagine what will happen should you get to go to the moon of Endor. Ewok soup anyone?
Still no date, but we’re crossing our fingers for next year.

The senior writer for Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO has posted a new developer diary detailing the creation of the Smuggler class in the game.
Hal Hood says that BioWare really wanted a charming, humorous, and romantic rouge for the game to lighten up dramatic moments – basically a Han Solo.
“The Old Republic is the first Star Wars video game to let players truly live the dream of being Han Solo or Lando Calrissian,” he wrote. “Other games have let you engage in a bit of smuggling for profit or simulate “scoundrels” as a collection of stat bonuses, but none come close to delivering the humor, romance and just plain fun of being a wisecracking Smuggler who triumphs against all odds.
“Every member of The Old Republic team is committed to crafting the defining rendition of the Smuggler archetype. Of all the stories in our game, the Smuggler ones are specifically written with an emphasis on humor and romance. If you’re playing this class, you get to say the funniest things and are always on the lookout for people who find charming rogues irresistible.
“You’ll be flirting with or laughing at the most exciting personalities in the galaxy: crime lords, gamblers, Bounty Hunters, senators, nobles, spies, Jedi and even Sith.”
Hell yeah. More through the link.
