Koch has told videogaming247 today that GSC Game World’s S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky is slated for an August release.
The prequel to S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl had gone without a date since the publisher took control of the game in January.
Survival shooter Clear Sky is still something of a mystery at the moment, but the reputation of the first game is bulletproof among PC gamers for being broken but brilliant.
We’ll have more on this soon.

Here. Looking good. We should be getting close to launch for GSC’s shooter prequel, but publisher Deep Silver’s yet to set a date.

According to this, GSC Game World is on the verge of announcing a release date for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky, the sequel to Shadow of Chernobyl.
“Currently the official date is spring 2008,” said Oleg Yavorsky, senior PR manager at the Ukrainian company. “There’s no exact release date determined as of now. We should have it announced in few weeks.”
Good news for broken but brilliant PC shooter fans, right there. The game’s being published by Koch in Europe.

Koch is to publish S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky, the company’s announced, which begs a rather large question about what happened to THQ’s involvement. Koch will handle the game worldwide.
“Publishing the game Heroes of Annihilated Empires worldwide together with Koch Media distribution, we were happy of the cooperation and are glad to continue it with S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky project,” said Sergiy Grygorovych, CEO of developer GSC World Publishing.
Happy enough, obviously, to not work with THQ any more.
The game is a prequel to well-received PC survival FPS S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, set a year before the original’s events. Full press release after the link.
