SSX update 3.0 is live on PS3, contains two new game modes
SSX update 3.0 has gone live on PS3, according to an announcement from Sony. The update includes new game modes, and plenty of fixes. Patch notes and information on the new modes, Freeride and 3-2-1 Go! can be found on the EU PS forums.

New SSX trailer shows off Mt. Eddie and Tricky
EA’s released a brand new trailer and pile of screens for SSX and it gives you a sneak peak of one of the game’s upcoming content drops – The SSX Mt. Eddie & Classic Characters DLC pack. The trailer shows some of the classic characters which’re part of the pack as well as giving you a closer look at Mt. Eddie – a tricky inspired, ultra-long mountain which features 9 new races and trick drops. It’ll also come with three classic SSX music tracks. The pack will be available May 1 for $7.99 on the PlayStation Network or 640 MS Points on Xbox Live. Watch the trailer after the break.

EA teases SSX Tricky DLC for SSX
EA has teased a puzzle of some sort in relation to SSX, with fans of its Facebook page putting together pieces suggeting it’s for DLC linked to SSX Tricky. The puzzle shows a still mostly-obscured mountain with the new SSX logo, but shows Elise in her Tricky diggs.

Tesco selling ME3 and SSX for £25, Saints Row for £22
Tesco is promoting massive discount on big name AAA titles in a UK national this morning. The UK supermarket is advertising Mass Effect 3 and SSX for £24.91 and Saints Row: The Third and Street Fighter X Tekken for £21.91. Mario and Sonic at the London Olympics for Wii is advertised as £20. The offer seems to apply to online too if SFxT is a pointer.

SSX online trailer goes nuts on global events, GeoTags
EA’s released the second part of its SSX online series, this time focussing on the game’s online global events and user-generated collectables known as GeoTags. Global events skip the typical lobby in multiplayer games, instead throwing you into ongoing events in and around the SSX universe. GeoTags, meanwhile, are where UGC tags can be dropped anywhere on a level. Until its picked up by your friends, you’ll continue earning credits for the time its spent out there.
