Soul Calibur: Lost Swords publisher Namco Bandai has posted three character trailers detailing Sophitia, Mitsurugi and Siegfried. There’s also a big dollop of screens for you to enjoy. Get them inside.

Soul Calibur: Lost Swords has received a new trailer out of Tokyo Games Show that offers a brief glance at Siegfried, Mitsurugi and Sophitia laying down smack with their curiously coloured weapons.

Soul Calibur: Lost Swords is the PS3-exclusive, free-to-play brawler from Namco. Curiously, it’s a single-player title, and much of the game’s mechanics are shrouded in secrecy. However, these new screens show fighters Siegfried & Mitsurugi in action, along with colour-based attacks.

Another short one, new scans of Weekly Famitsu have revealed that Soul Calibur: Lost Swords is actually a free to play version of everyone’s favourite weapons based 3D fighter with outrageous costumes and is in active development for the PlayStation 3. There are no other details at this time, the most comes as a part of Namco Bandai’s renewed interest in free to play, with titles like Ridge Racer Driftopia and Tekken Revolution.

It looks as though the Lost Swords trademark filed by Namco in Europe last week has also been filed in North America as well. It’s for Soul Calibur: Lost Swords, so take a bow Dark, you had it right. Under goods and services it says the title is for “computer game programs” so there’s not format listed. We expect more information to be revealed in due course. Thanks, Gematsu.
