God of War: Ascension livestream happening this afternoon
PlayStation EU’s tweeted a livestream for God of War: Ascension will happen this afternoon on the EU PS Blog. The stream, hosted by game director Todd Pappy, will go live at about 4pm BST. Word to the wise: expect to see some first impressions going live on the game before then on a few sites.
Ascension was announced for PS3 a week-and-a-half ago.

Move-based Datura out May 8
Sony is set to launch Plastic’s Move tech demo Datura on May 8 in the US and May 9, according to listings on its product page. The tech demo, Plastic’s second following Linger in Shadows a few years back and made in collaboration again with Sony Santa Monica, sees the player make their way through a forest area with Move. Players can use a bog standard SIXAXIS if they wish, though.

Starhawk closed beta to end January 3, open beta dates coming “next few weeks”
Sony’s announced it’s to keep open the closed beta of Starhawk throughout Christmas before closing it once and for all on January 3. The Lightbox and Sony Santa Monica effort will then go into open beta, with dates for its launch to come in the “next few weeks,” Sony Santa Monica producer Harvard Bonin said on the EU PS Blog. Players can gain access to the open tester with codes that came with their copy of Uncharted 3.

Sony Santa Monica, Plastic collaboration gets first video
Eurogamer‘s gotten hold of a video of the project collaboration between Sony Santa Monica and Polish tech group Plastic. The video of the project, which comes with Move support, shows two scenes involved a floating hand driving a car and a forest, both of which involves a pig. Get watching at the link.
Plastic and Santa Monica collaborated before, working on the PSN tech demo Linger in Shadows.

God of War: Origins Collection bonus content videoed
Ready at Dawn’s Dana Jan, game director for God of War: Origins Collection, has posted information on the PS Blog regarding the bonus content included with it. Inside the pack, you will find a Legionnaire Kratos skin, the Forest of the Forgotten combat arena, and a video of the Game Directors Live round table discussion and a chat with the various folks who have had a hand in the series over the years. The round table discussion with God of War developers took place last year prior to the launch of God of War: Ghost of Sparta, and a video featuring clips of it is posted below the break. God of War: Origins Collection is slated for release next week, and there is a demo for Volume II of the collection up on the PS Store today.
