Rain: Sony Japan Studio posts new gameplay trailer, screens inside
Rain is the inventive new game from Sony Japan Studio. Announced last year, the team has posted a new trailer called ‘Two Silhouettes’ that shows the game’s star – an invisible boy – as he searches for a lost girl in a city battered by endless rainfall. Check out the clip here.

Freedom Wars: PS Vita exclusive previewed in Famitsu, 8-player battles confirmed
Freedom Wars developer Sony Japan Studio has discussed the ins and outs of its PS Vita exclusive with Famitsu. The game formally known as ‘Panopticon’ will support eight-player squads and a slew of augmented reality functions.

Puppeteer gameplay and “special heads” videos released
Sony Japan Studio has released an adorable video for Puppeteer, showing off some gameplay. It’d below, courtesy of GamesHQMedia. There’s also a video below, which features clips taken from the 9 second head trailers the firm released earlier this month. They are all together in one nice look for you now. Puppeteer will arrive on PSN and at retail in North America September 10 and in Europe September 11 for $39.99/€39.99.

Puppeteer dev stresses that it ‘isn’t necessarily for kids’
Puppeteer is one of many PS3 projects being worked on by Sony Japan Studio. It may be a 2D platformer that stars a puppet, but it’s definitely not just for kids the developer has stressed. In fact, the puppet star of the game has his head ripped off by the king. Traumatising.

Puppeteer will be a rather large platformer, according to Sony Japan Studio’s Gavin Moore, who said if players just fly right through it and not search for any secrets, it will last over the 15 hours mark.
