Sonic Adventure 2 HD and Nights HD are both now available for download on Xbox Live. The games were supposed to be released yesterday, but XBL users received and error message when trying to download the game into their queue. The games couldn’t be found when searching for them through the dashboard either. SEGA said yesterday it was aware of the issue and was looking into the matter. Apparently the issue has now been solved. Via: Venture Beat, Major Nelson.

NiGHTS Into Dreams and Sonic Adventure 2 are now available through PSN for $9.99/£6.49/€7.99 in the US. The games will release tomorrow via the usual PS Store update in Europe.

Sega has advised us it’s going to front nine games at PAX Prime in Seattle between August 31 and September 2. Visit booths 242 and 252 to check out Aliens: Colonial Marines; Double Fine’s latest effort The Cave; Arkedo’s Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit; upcoming downloadable classics Jet Set Radio and NiGHTS into Dreams; MMORPG Phantasy Star Online 2; Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. But wait – there’s more: Sega will also show off an “unannounced digital title” which could well be Toejam & Earl.

SEGA announced Sonic Adventure 2 for PSN and XBLA during its Sonic Boom event Comic-Con. The game was rumored to be in the works back in June, and according to Gamekyo and some shaky cam footage taken of the announcement, expect it to be released sometime this fall as an HD remake.

As screengrabbed by Neogaf users, Dreamcast-era classic Sonic Adventure 2 popped up on Xbox.com earlier. The listing has since been removed but showed an October 3 release and promised leaderboards, “content downloads”, and offline multiplayer. Interestingly, one of the screenshots shows PlayStation 3 button prompts, so it looks like it may on the way to both console networks. We’ll ask Sega for an update.
