Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 will release on Wii U, if a listing on the ESRB website is any indication. The CryEngine 3 developed game is set for a January release on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 already, and was originally slated for release in October. We’ll send Namco a mail and ask for more details. City Interactive has released some new screenshots of its CryEngine 3-powered shooter Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2. Check out the lot below. Game’s out August 21 in the US and August 24 in the UK on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

City interactive’s released a brand new trailer for the PS3 version of Sniper: Ghost Warrior, detailing some of the extras that come with it over the 360 version. New multiplayer modes, new single-player missions and more are mentioned in the new video, which you can see below the break, via GiantBomb. It’s out this summer.

Back in January, City Interactive told the media that it was working on a sequel to Sniper: Ghost Warrior. The past four months have been pretty busy, we’re guessing, and the company is only now getting around to announcing Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2.

City Interactive has announced that Sniper: Ghost Warrior will land on PS3 June 28. The game is an upgrade from the PC and Xbox 360 versions with the original game, as well as: upgraded graphics,
a PS3-exclusive single-player mission, extra multiplayer maps and modes, sniper rifles the L96 and M200 Intervention, and a bonus single-player challenge with Hard Core mode.

The PS3 version of Sniper: Ghost Warrior may still be coming “soon,” but at least there’s a video of it below with people’s heads exploding. The 360 and PC versions of the City Interactive shooter managed 1 million units between June 2010 and February this year, so keep an eye on it, PS3-only super warriors. Check it out.
