Test Drive: Ferrari Racing Legends hits Europe July 6

20120622testdriveferrari

After several months of silence, Slightly Mad Studios has re-surfaced clutching a copy of Test Drive: Ferrari Racing Legends. The racer is now scheduled to launch in Europe on July, according to a post on the game’s Facebook page, although only PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 releases were noted. We had expected it on PC as well, but then again, we also expected it in March, so. Remind yourself why we’re excited with this trailer.

Project CARS updated with added dynamic lighting effects

project cars

Slightly Mad Studios have released nine new previews of their WMD-powered Project CARS title, showing off “the continued evolution of the title’s graphics engine.” Each preview shows new features which have been added to the title’s “dynamic time of day system” which allows players to race during any time of the day with realistic dynamic lighting, and sun and moon rendering. Spotlights which light up parts of the track while casting shadows on the environment have been added as well, and additional light sources from neighboring towns and trackside objects like grandstands are also included. You can join the crowd-sourced Project CARS for a one-time-only payment of €10 to become a Junior member. New screenshots are below.

Stock in the game can be purchased through the World of Mass Development Project for as little as $5 to $100,000. The firm believes the project can raise as much as $53 million with Slightly Mad keeping 30% of the profit, and the rest going into the pockets of all who purchased stock. Over 40,000 people have backed the project since it stated back in October 2011. Thanks, GI.biz
