Modern Warfare 3 Collection 3: Chaos Pack is now available on Steam and PS3. The pack contains the Special Ops Chaos mode, four new Special Ops missions, and three Face Off maps for solo and co-op gameplay. The pack was made available on Xbox 360 and to Call of Duty Elite PS3 members last week.

Final Assault, Modern Warfare 3′s fourth and final DLC collection which includes Gulch, Decommission, Off Shore, Boardwalk and Parish will release for Elite Premium Members on Xbox 360 September 5. The DLC, which brings five multiplayer maps into the fray, will be available for purchase to everyone on Xbox 360 on September 6. Elite Premium Members on PS3 will receive Drops 19-21 (Light ‘Em Up, Special Delivery and Special Ops Chaos Mode) on September 6. A video for Final Assault is below.

Activision has released a set of screenshots for the July Modern Warfare 3 content drop, which will arrive on Xbox 360 July 17 for Elite Premium members. Premium Elite members will receive four exclusive drops on Tuesday, July 17, including three multiplayer maps and a Special Ops mission. Terminal is available to download next Tuesday, July 17. Non-ELITE Premium members on the Xbox 360 will receive Terminal free a day later on Wednesday, July 18. PS3 Elite Premium members will also see four content pieces in July, with three Face Off maps and a Special Ops mission releasing on July 19. Activision has released a video for Modern Warfare 3 Content Collection #2, showing the new Face Off maps set to music you’d hear while traversing main street in an old west town at high noon. Content Collection #2 contains the Multiplayer/Survival Mode Maps Sanctuary, Foundation and Oasis, Special Ops Missions Iron Clad and Switch Back and the Face Off maps Getaway and Lookout. While premium Elite members received the pack on May 15, and everyone else received the Face Off content the following day, the pack can be downloaded via Xbox Live on May 22 for 1200 Microsoft Points/$14.99. All content will be available on other platforms at a later date.

Activision has released screenshots for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Content Collection #2 as well as the behind-the-scenes preview video for the Face Off maps Aground and Erosion. The video, which was posted last week, was previously exclusive to IGN. Content Collection #2 launches on May 22 and also included Multiplayer/Survival Mode Maps, Special Ops Missions 1200 MS Points /$14.99. Premium Elite members can download the content on May 15. The two Face Off maps will be available on Xbox Live to Elite Premium members on May 15 as well and to everyone else on XBL May 16. All content will be available on PC and PS3 once the exclusivity period on 360 ends.

Consider this a friendly reminder Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s 4th, 5th and 6th content drops are now available on Xbox 360. The content includes a new multiplayer level, and two new Spec Ops missions. The content, featuring Black Box, Negotiator and Black Ice, will be available for download on other platforms at a later date. The next drop, Content Collection #1, will release on Xbox Live on March 20 and includes all of the above as well as multiplayer maps Liberation, Piazza, and Overwatch. Activision has announced the Liberation and Piazza maps are now available for Modern Warfare 3 on PS3 for those who have a premium account through Elite.The next content drop for Premium Members on PSN is scheduled to land on March 29 with the release of Overwatch, a multiplayer map currently available for Elite users on 360 that drops players into a construction site atop a New York City skyscraper.

Activision has announced Overwatch as the next content drop for Modern Warfare 3 and it will be made available first to Elite Premium Members on the Xbox Live February 21. After the exclusivity period on 360 ends, it will be released for PC and PS3. Overwatch takes place in a construction site atop a New York City skyscraper, and includes two levels “in a near symmetrical layout,” with the central bridge and side routes open to attack from multiple angles. This is the third content drop for the game, and the next two will be released in March and will include Black Box and two brand new Special Ops Missions, Black Ice and Negotiator. Meanwhile, Beachhead has posted a preview of Elite’s Clan Operations through here, and stated its release is “getting closer every day.”

The Call of Duty Elite team has announced it’s “putting Vengeful Beast’s prizes in Beast Mode” tomorrow, January 20. Called “100k Day”, those who log onto Elite can participate in matches were those with the highest total kills in Team Deathmatch could win rather nice prize. The first place winner will receive a 2012 Jeep Wrangler: MW3 Edition, second place gets the Gamer’s Entertainment Bundle, third place a Canon EOS T3i Digital SLR Camera Kit, and fourth place will receive an iPad bundle. The 360 match starts at 12pm EST and the PS3 match starts at 3.00pm EST. You can enlist through here.

Activision has released a set of screenshots for the first of 20 Content Drops coming to Modern Warfare 3 starting January 24 with Liberation and Piazza. The multiplayer maps, which are also playable in Survival Mode, will toss players into locations such as Central Park and an Italian seaside village. Liberation is a “vast, militarized landscape, ripe for long-range sniper and LMG fire, with mounted turrets on either end”, while Piazza contains “tight corners and branching pathways” which pose “great risk at every turn” and is dominated by close combat. The maps, as with all MW3 DLC, will be released first on Xbox Live for Elite before hitting PC and PS3 due to an exclusivity agreement with Microsoft.

Inevitably, Activision already has a new Call of Duty game on the cards – and Sledgehammer is on board.
