Skylanders: Swap Force limited edition toy being handed out at E3
Activision is handing out a rare, limited edition Skylanders Swarp Force toy at E3. It’s called Color Shift Hot Dog and will be handed out to people who stop by the firm’s Skylanders area when E3 opens tomorrow. The figurine is a metallic version of the other Hot Dog figures available. You can get a look at the fella over on Kotaku and through an unboxing video posted by FamilyGamerTV. Skylanders Swap Force will arrive in North America and Australia on October 16 and in Europe on October 18 for 3DS, PS3, Wii, Wii U, and Xbox 360. Screenshots for the game are below.

Skylanders franchise surpasses $500 million in revenue, over 100 million toys sold
Activision announced during its Toy Fair 2013 press conference that the Skylanders franchise has surpassed $500 million in revenue, and over 100 million toys have been sold. The sell-through is the fastest such a milestone has been reached by kid’s games, including WWE and Star Wars. During the Toy Fair, Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg revealed that Skylanders Giants sold over $195 million in the US since its holiday release.
