Sky: PS3 Sky Player “may very well happen”

Sky’s On Demand director Griff Parry has revealed that a PS3 version of the Sky Player could be on the cards for the future.
It comes as the service launched last week on the Xbox 360, with the service being pulled soon after due to “phenomenal demand.”
“I can talk generally about our desire to extend to any device that supports a good quality experience to project the content. The PS3 is clearly a device where that is possible. And so it may very well happen in the future. Having said that, we’re very happy to be working with Xbox for the time being,” said Parry.
So far, in the UK, the PS3 has a native version of the BBC iPlayer service.

Sky Player pulled from Xbox 360 until technical issues fixed

Microsoft has pulled Sky Player from Xbox 360 after an “unforeseen technical issue,” and hopes to relaunch the service tomorrow.
“The Sky Player on Xbox 360 service did successfully launch early this morning, it has subsequently been suspended due to an unforeseen technical issue,” read a statement from the publisher. “With so much excitement and interest in the service, we’d much prefer to ensure that our customers enjoy the highest possible quality of service.
“We would like to take this opportunity to apologize to our customers who have attempted to access the service today. Sky Player engineers are hard at work to resolve the problem – we expect to have the full service available tomorrow.”
There ya go.
