Bravely Default: Flying Fairy ships 300,000 copies in Japan, producer teases new “developments”
Bravely Default: Flying Fairy has shipped 300,000 copies in Japan since its October release, according to producer Tomoya Asano. Speaking with 4Gamer in an interview, Asano revealed the figures, stating that by the end of the month, he believes sales of the game will equal the numbers shipped. He also said that “from this year to about next year, I’m thinking there are a lot of things that I want to prepare for everyone to look forward to,” so to keep an eye on the game’s Twitter account. Does this mean the game may be heading west, or is there a sequel in the works? Just do what the man says and stay glued to that Twitter account. Thanks, Gematsu.

Quick Shots – Silicon’s Orochi engine updated with Vita support
In anticipation of the Vita’s release, Silicon Studio has released an updated version of its popular engine, Orochi. Andriasang reports the new middleware allows for easy porting of PC games to Vita as well as PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and also aids simultaneous PS3 and Vita development. The company released some comparison screens of the engine running on PC, PS3 and Windows, which are suitably impressive – check ‘em out through the break.
