Speaking in the latest issue of the Official PS Mag, Res Evil originator Shinji Mikami’s admitted that he’s unlikely to play the game’s fifth instalment.
“I probably won’t play it,” he said. “I won’t like it, because it’s not going to be the game I would have made.
“It’ll just cause me stress if I play it. I think it could be fun for gamers to play it, but not for someone who has developed Resident Evil games.
“If I see anything in Resident Evil 5 that isn’t done well, I’ll be angry.”
Do not make him angry.

Hot shit. EA just announced that Grasshopper’s Shinji Mikami and Suda51 are working on a new horror game for the publisher, to release on PC, Wii, PS3 and 360.
The deal was brokered by CAA, in conjunction with Q Entertainment who will be working with he developer and EA Partners on the project.
“Grasshopper Manufacture is excited to work with EA Partners to bring our new title to gamers around the world,” said Grasshopper boss Goichi Suda. “They are a great partner who shares our commitment to quality and innovation while respecting our independence as a studio, which is very empowering.”

Japanese dev legends Shinji Mikami and Hideki Kamiya have set up a home for new studio Platinum Games on Facebook, blogs and all. Platinum has been formed of former Clover staffers, after the Capcom studio was closed last year. Mikami announced a few days ago that he’s started his next project at the company.
Go and be friends with the man that made Resident Evil. Then send him a fruity zombie, or something.
