Salem: The Crafting MMO has gone into open beta
Paradox has announced Seatribe’s free-to-play crafting MMO, Salem, has gone into open beta. If you wanna try the game with permadeath which takes place in the colonial period of America, click here. Too give you an idea of what to expect, a new video featuring “Tarp Marpton” should provide you with plenty of information on being a pilgrims, dealing with bandits, natives and more. A livestream of the beta can be watched on Twitch TV at 4pm EST.

Salem players can face permadeath even when offline
Seatribe’s creative director, Björn Johannessen, has said the team decided to add permadeath to its upcoming free-to-play MMORPG, Salem, because for one, it “enforces a subtle form of roleplaying.”

Army of Two site lets you design your own mask
EA’s put up an Army of Two site that lets you design your own Salem or Rios mask.
Once you’ve put your work of art together, you can check it out in 3D. Amazing.
As soon as Army of Two: The 40th Day ships on January 15, all you have to do is buy it et voila: your mask will be usable in-game.
