Digital distributor Green Man Gaming is throwing a very special promotion celebrating all things independent. Check out the Indie Love sale page to score big discounts on a wide variety of games – you can pick from one of three price points, depending on how much love you want to give the developers. And also money, obviously. Titles on offer include Psychonauts, Stacking, The Binding of Isaac, To The Moon, Anodyne and Rook’s Keep.

Capcom is 30 years old, and instead of thinking about maybe popping out a second sprog and buying a mini-van it’s throwing a huge Steam sale. All the deals are collated on this Steam page, but Capcom Unity also has a handy-dandy text list if you want a quicker scan. It’s worth having a look just to remind yourself of a bunch of things we’d forgotten the publisher was involved in, like Dark Void, which Brad Pitt got every enthusiastic about, and Fairy Bloom Freesia, which certainly exists, that’s for sure. Discounts up to 75% are on offer.

Atlus is hosting a Summer Sales-travaganza for 3DS. Until August 31, you can grab Shin Megami Tensei: Devl Summoner – Soul Hackers, Code of Princess and Etrian Odyssey 4 from the 3DS eShop for $10 less than the regular sticker price. The sale only applies to North America, I’m afraid, as Atlus doesn’t publish outside of its home territory.

The Steam Summer Sale is such a ridiculous extravaganza of cash that many devs take it into account when making their launch plans. When Two Tribes ended up releasing Toki Tori 2+ during the sale, it turned out to not be such a good idea.

I wouldn’t normally post a sale notification for just one game when there’s so much going on, but Papo & Yo is an extraordinary game well worth a look, so if you’ve been holding off, head on over to Green Man Gaming to pick it up for just $5.09 or local equivalent. You can also grab it in a bundle with the soundtrack for the near-criminally under-priced $5.77. Both offers require Steam and are available on PC only. Papo & Yo explores a childhood overshadowed by an alcoholic parent and may cause you to have feelings and need a quiet lie down; it’s also a pretty fun, puzzle-heavy action adventure.
