Loads of Ghostbusters costumes are coming to LittleBigPlanet on July 16.

You will be able to dress your little guy as the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, give him a Slimer hat, run around as one of the Ghostbusters, or put him in a ghostly hoodie.

Tentatively, the items are priced $2.15/£1.32 each or you can buy a pack with all of the items for $6.50/£4.00.

It was Sony Japan that revealed the themes with a Yen price, therefore, it may change.

Media Molecule has revealed that some special ‘Sacktue of Liberty’ Sackboy Skins will be available on July 2nd to help celebrate Independence Day in the US on 4th July.

There’s some Statue of Liberty history through the link, if that’s your thing.

Media Molecule has revealed that this Thursday LittleBigPlanet’s Sackboy will get the Team ICO Costume Pack featuring Ico and Yorda.

That’s not all, however, as MM promise a “closer look at the other costumes from this pack, a set based on Ico’s sequel of sorts, Shadow of the Colossus.”

Sackboy is to be included in Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds, and to celebrate, LittleBigPlanet will get a golf course for it’s very own.

The first official course will be a community affair, with each hole designed and created by members of the LBP community.

This is a contest, and the best nine holes and a driving range from North America, and the best nine holes and club house from Europe, will be included on the course.

Winners will be immortalized with a LBP prize crown.

A LittleBigPlanet Valentines Day Theme pack is now available from the PlatyStation Store, complete with stickers, decorations and a McLovin SackBoy costume.

The PlayStation Blog also mentions that the Groundhog Day costume is still available which, to be honest, looks like it had a bit more thought put into it than the McLovin.

Videogaming247.com has learned that Sony has contacted online gaming retailer, Shopto.net, and has stated that due to copyright infringement, the site is no longer able to honour its offer of a free Sackboy figurine with every LittleBigPlanet pre-order. A t-shirt has been offered instead.

“Unfortunately Sony have been in touch with us this morning to inform us that due to copyright / image issues they are unable to provide us with the LittleBigPlanet Sackboy figurines originally promised for launch,” says a mail sent out to punters today.

“As a replacement we will provide you with LittleBigPlanet T Shirts. These will be sent with (or before) your delivery of the game.”

We’re checking this with Sony now.

This was knocking around last week, but there we are. This site shows you how to dress up as a Sackboy, should you not be content with looking at LittleBigPlanet hype all day.

According to this 1UP piece, the latest issue of Game Informer reveals that LittleBigPlanet frontman, Sackboy, will be be making an appearance in the hit PSN title, Pain.

Nothing else is known so far but this news gets us excited: we love everything Sackboy and Pain. Love it, you hear?

The official LittleBigPlanet site’s posted up some of the entries to the ongoing submit-a-Sackboy competition for the game, showing a Sackboy sheep, a Sackboy indian and a Sackboy pixel thing.

If you win you get your entry in the game itself, so hit the link and get designing. All the details about entry are through there.

Sony’s launched a LittleBigPlanet competition that could get your entry into the PS3s of millions of people, should you be lucky.

All you have to do is draw a Sackboy or Sackgirl onto a template you’ll find through the link, send it in and cross your fingers.

Winners will be chosen from Europe, the US and Japan, and each will be made available for free to download when the game releases.
