Fifth South Park RPG class is…The Jew
In an interview with Game Informer, Obsidian revealed the fifth and final class in the South Park RPG: The Jew. The new class is described by Obsidian as a sort of Paladin/Monk high-risk/high-reward class.
“The closer he is to death, the more powerful his abilities become,” said Matt Mclean, lead designer on the game. “So you’re strongest when you’re at one hit point, but you’re also just about to die.”
The Jew joins the fighter, thief, mage, and cleric as the five classes of the game. We’re equal parts glad and horrified that the South Park game is obviously still willing to push the envelope.

Final Fantasy Type-0: First ten minutes
Square’s released a direct feed video containing ten minutes of Final Fantasy Type-0 footage titled the “Opening.” The name indicates that the clip features the game’s opening moments. However, it’s listed as a “special edit”, so the video might not be a exact replication of the game’s intro. The game releases in Japan on October 27 for PSP. Anyone not wanting to spoil the starting moments of the game might want to skip watching this. For everyone else, you can watch the video after the break. Thanks, Andriasang.

Famitsu scares up first details on Level-5’s PSP horror RPG, Ushiro
This week’s issue of Japanese game rag Famitsu brings word that Level-5 is developing a brand new RPG. Oh, and it’s on the PSP. Neat!
Titled “Ushiro,” which roughly translates to “behind,” the game will slip you into the oh-too-trendy garb of a shinigami (Japanese grim reaper), who will “cling on behind people that have exhausted their lives to experience their lives.”
Once you’ve Yoda-ed your way onto your quarry, it’s apparently up to you to “observe, possess, and fulfill the wishes” of that person. You’ll also do battle with a monster that embodies “a person’s malice.”
Sounds fascinating. Consider our interest piqued.
The game hits Japan sometime in 2009.
Thanks, Gamekyo.
