First Modern Warfare 3 DLC gets first teaser screen, info
Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling has unveiled the first screen of the upcoming first batch of DLC for Modern Warfare 3. The shot shows off a map called Park. That park looks awfully a lot like Central Park, doesn’t it? Probably because it most likely is. More info on the DLC is coming in the new year. 360 owners with Elite premium subs gets first dibs on the DLC due to an exclusivity deal announced at E3 2010.

New Modern Warfare 3 modes this weekend
“Ready for new game modes for Modern Warfare 3?” Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling asked on Twitter today.
“I’ve got some surprises for you for the weekend. I’ll confirm full details tomorrow!”
Now you know as much as we do. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is out now on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360; made $1 billion in 16 days; and hands out 5,000 day bans for being a dirty cheat.

Modern Warfare 3 players hit with 5,000 day ban
MP1st received reports and a screenshot showing one Xbox Live member’s 5,000 day ban from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 – that’s almost 14 years. Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling confirmed the number isn’t an error. “If you see this message, it means you’ve been Permabanned (for something bad),” he explained.

Over 1,600 Modern Warfare 3 players receive bans for cheating
Infinity Ward has started laying the ban hammer down on those who “cheat, hack, or glitch” in Modern Warfare 3, with over 1,600 already banned from the game’s multiplayer. According to a tweet from Robert Bowling, attempts to cheat “will not be tolerated” and he asked that folks continue to report offenders until a patch, currently in the works, is released. Bans from the leaderboards and playing were issued on launch day as well, with Bowling stating that anyone “attempting to play unfairly or boost rank” would be culled. Thanks, VentureBeat.
