Space Marine reviews begin trickling in – everything here
Videogames have proven themselves adept storytellers, effective learning tools, and profoundly able to support whatever the hell WarioWare is. Sometimes, though, you just want to slip out of your pretentious pants, throw on something comfy, and kill everything until even its ghost’s ghost is dead. Enter Space Marine. No cover, no notions of so-called “realism” – just good old-fashioned gory fun. Well, in theory, anyway. But how does it actually fare when tossed into the toothy maw of harsh scrutiny? Find out after the break.

Dead Space 2 review round-up: horrifyingly good

Dead Space 2 looks great and all, but let’s face it: It’s not always easy to trust reviews that barge onto the Internet shouting “first!” like they took etiquette lessons from, well, the Internet. Fortunately, the embargo’s up for everyone else, and now Dead Space 2 gets to face the music for real. So, how’d it fare? Is it finally ok to stop scrutinizing and start screaming?
In a word: yes. We haven’t seen reviews this unanimously glowing in quite some time. See for yourself after the break.

Kinect review round-up OF DOOM: everything in one place!

The embargo’s officially lifted on Kinect, and boy was it damming back a serious flood of content. As in, this may be the Internet’s Noah’s Ark. Seriously people, grab two of whatever rodent happens to be scurrying through your house, build a boat, and jump past the break. Oh, and don’t forget to bring a paddle. And some tissues. You’ll need them to dab up the tears of blood that’ll be oozing from your eyes after all this reading.

Rock Band 3 review round-up: third time’s a charm

The music game genre? Stagnating? Not on Harmonix’s watch – which probably features a tiny person windmill-strumming a guitar in place of normal hands. Just when you thought you’d cast aside your tumultuous life of touring from living room to living room and having legions of women throw themselves as far as possible from you, Harmonix decided to rope you back in with Pro mode, a keyboard peripheral, and a whole host of much-needed tweaks.
But let’s face it: this stuff’s expensive. And learning to play real music is hard. Is it all really worth your time and money? Find out after the break.

Enslaved review round-up: sleeper game of the year?

The fall game avalanche is very nearly in full swing, so you know what that means: it’s time for a bunch of amazing games to start slipping through the cracks. Thanks for nothing, holiday season! If you’re feeling adventurous, though, for the love of God, try Enslaved. Early reviews are pegging it as a game bursting at the seams with story, character, and detail. Sure, there are some rough edges, but we’re talking about an apocalypse that’s neither dingy, gray, nor a beefy man sausage fest here!
But enough from us; check out the reviews after the break.

First Tony Hawk: RIDE reviews are… mixed

The first reviews of Tony Hawk: Ride have started to trickle in, and sprained ankles and bruised egos seem to be the name of the game here. Well, mostly. So, is this the large plastic, skateboard-shaped nail in the Tony Hawk franchise’s coffin? Let’s take a look.
G4 and Planet Xbox 360 both conducted their reviews at a day-long event last weekend. According to G4, though, they had plenty of time to finish the game.
If you happen to come across any more reviews of Tony Hawk’s latest effort, drop us a line and we’ll add them to the list.
