Titanfall from Respawn show at Microsoft E3 conference. The game was leaked last week. The announcement video showed mechs, talked about how “this is our land and we will fight for it.” Vince Zampella walked out on stage to talk about the game and demo it. It will apparently be “pushing the boundaries of multiplayer.” Cloud integration, which was revealed last week, was confirmed. Titanfall will be released in spring 2014. Wedbush analyst Michael Pachter believes the settlement between Activision and EA will pave the way for Respawn’s first title to release during the 2014 fiscal year, which ends on March 31, 2014.

Respawn will have a staffers on the ground at E3, but the studio won’t be showing its new game at the conference. “Some of us will be present at E3, but we won’t be showing anything or doing any press related to the game,” Respawn community manager Abbie Heppe told Joystiq. Respawn announced its formation in April of 2010 with funding on its new project being handled by EA Partners. The game has yet to be revealed.

Internet sleuthing has uncovered what seems to be two unannounced games due in the next 12 months, plus a third, much-anticipated project.

Update: Activision has issued a response to G4 over the lawsuit:

“Activision believes the action is without merit,” said a company spokesperson. “Activision retains the discretion to determine the amount and the schedule of bonus payments for MW2 and has acted consistent with its rights and the law at all times. We look forward to getting judicial confirmation that our position is right”.

Original: Looks like the ongoing issues between Activision and Infinity Ward are far from over, and involve more than just folks flying the coup for Respawn.

According to documents dug up by G4, which continues to cover
the story it broke back when Zampella and West left IW, a dozen current and former employees have filed suit against Activision citing breach of contract and unpaid bonuses and royalties.
