Microtransactions have run amok at gamescom, but here’s some good news, as Titanfall developers Respawn have stated quite categorically that that business model just isn’t for them.

Glorious Titanfall news doesn’t stop coming, as Respawn has confirmed to VG247 that Titanfall as dedicated servers that run on the cloud which means no more host migrations when people rage-quit.

Titanfall developer Respawn Entertainment has received Oculus Rift dev kits and appears to be impressed with the VR device so far. When asked if the EA-published shooter would support the device the studio said “you never know”.

The team talked about Titan vs Titan gameplay, and how they wanted to make the mechs easy to navigate, but feel formidable as well. You can watch it below. Respawn’s latest, which is due in Northern spring 2014, is coming to PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
