The Resistance Collection, which includes all three games in the series from Insomniac Games and the bonus DLC content for Resistance 2 and Resistance 3 will release on December 5 in North America, Sony has announced. The collection includes all three games in the series, as well as the Aftermath Multiplayer Map Pack, Wraith Skin multiplayer weapon and Skin Bundle for Resistance 2. It also comes with the Brutality and Survival Packs for Resistance 3. It will run you $39.99.

Sony has confirmed a listing by Amazon France which outed a Resistance trilogy collection coming to PlayStation 3. The firm has told Eurogamer more details on the pack will be announced at a later date.

Insomniac has released a trailer for the Brutality Pack released for Resistance 3 yesterday in the UK and Tuesday in the US. It’s posted below, courtesy of GamerSpawn. The pack, set in Wales, contains a new gameplay mode, a new weapon, set to music from Mastodon.

“Resistance 3 fans should be looking forward to next week. News on Monday,” Insomniac Games teased via its Twitter. DLC? A developer multiplayer session? DLC? A significant patch? DLC? DLC? I think it’s DLC. The PlayStation 3 exclusive released in early September and holds an 83 Metacritic average.

Insomniac has posted an update regarding patch 1.05, and along with a pending release date of next week, it will also come with two new multiplayer maps at no cost to you. The maps are Creek (16 players) and The Granary (four players). The patch will contain: network lag fixes; improved team balancing; purchasable abilities and equipment at level 60; fewer leaper spawns for Leaper Corpse, and better aiming with Move.

Sony’s announced details of the next PlayStation Access event in Bristol, confirming that Uncharted 3, Starhawk and Ratchet & Clank: All4One, as well as the recently-released Resistance 3, will all be playable on the first-party front. Third-party titles that will be playable include Batman: Arkham City, Battlefield 3, FIFA 12, Dark Souls, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations and Goldeneye 007: Reloaded.

The event takes place from September 29 until October 1, with Lethal Bizzle peforming on both Friday and Saturday. More info on getting tickets for Access can be found on its Facebook page.

Its been announced that Resistance 3 will get its first DLC pack next month. The pack, called Survival, will feature a new multiplayer mode called Invasion, where humans and Chimera need to capture multiple control points as long as they can. There’ll also be a Survival skin for MP and XMB theme.

Survival launches on October 4 for $3.99. The game itself is out now in the US and Friday in the UK. Get the reviews so far here. Thanks, Eurogamer.
