Resident Evil Anniversary Collection for PS3 announced for Japan

A Resident Evil Anniversary Collection for PS3 has been announced for Japan by Capcom. Celebrating 17 years of frights, the collection includes Resident Evil 6, Resident Evil 5 Gold, Resident Evil: Revival Selection, and download codes for Resident Evil: Director’s Cut, Resident Evil 2, and Resident Evil 3. The Revival Selection includes the following HD remakes: Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil: Code Veronica. Resident Evil Anniversary Package is out on March 22 for ¥8,990 yen ($102). Resident Evil HD remasters to get bundled with RE5

Capcom is set to bundle the retail version of the recent Resident Evil HD Revival Selection – Resident Evil 4 and Code Veronica – with Resident Evil 5, according to a Japanese retail listing. The pack (via Andrisang), will cost ¥5,490 on March 15, and release for PS3. News on the bundle comes ahead of a 15th anniversary party being held for the series in Japan tomorrow night, and follows the release of the first trailer for upcoming movie Retribution, as well as speculation that a new game announcement later tonight UK time.

Dragon Quest Collection tops the Japanese charts

Three NES titles have picked up the top spot in the Japanese charts for the week ending September 18th as Square Enix’s Dragon Quest Collection, a compilation of the first three titles in the series emulated for Wii.

First Resident Evil Revival Selection screens get out

Famitsu‘s carrying the first couple of screens for the recently-announced Resident Evil Revival Selection. There’s only two shots of the title: one for each game that represent the collection in Resident Evil: Code Veronica and Resident Evil 4. There’s even more shots on the official website that has just opened up.
